Former Chairman of Mass GOP, member of RNC and candidate joins impressive list supporting Perry

10th Congressional District – Jeff Perry is pleased to announce that Jim Rappaport has endorsed his bid for Congress and is helping with his fundraising efforts.

Jim Rappaport is an attorney, real estate developer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, fundraiser and political activist. He has also been active in state and national politics, serving as Massachusetts Republican State Chairman from 1992 to 1997 and as a member of the Republican National Committee. In his political career Jim has run for the United States Senate and Lieutenant Governor.

"Jeff has been on the front lines fighting for issues that impact real people every day," said Rappaport in support of Perry’s bid for Congress. "He understands that the working people of America are overtaxed. Jeff believes in smaller government, real health care reform without government mandates, tort reform and a crackdown on illegal immigration. Jeff has shown over the years that he will take on the entrenched interests that only care about their self preservation. He is fearless and is going to Capitol Hill to swing for the fences, to truly make a difference by representing his fellow citizens. Jeff Perry has my full support in his run for U.S. Congress. I am proud to join so many others who have endorsed Jeff and know that Jeff will be a superb Congressman."

In addition to announcing the endorsement of Jim Rappaport today, the Perry campaign has expanded its office hours in the Quincy, Plymouth and Sandwich locations. The offices are now open six days each week, including four evenings.

Perry launches new radio program to "Wake up Washington"
Starts weekly show Tuesday evenings on WATD 95.9-FM

Jeff Perry, candidate for Congress in the Tenth Congressional District, is continuing his bid to wake up Washington with a new weekly radio show.

The show, called "Wake up Washington," is aimed at people who are tired of the status quo in Washington, D.C. and who believe that the current political system needs correction. It is scheduled to air every Tuesday night from 6:15 p.m. to 8:00 p.m on WATD 95.9-FM.

"I'm excited to have this forum to talk about how Washington is broken, and to have a conversation with listeners about ways to fix it," said Perry. "Politicians in our nation's Capitol have gotten away from the basic values we all believe in. Meanwhile, issues that greatly matter to the future of our county are being ignored. I look forward to discussing issues like illegal immigration, the national debt, health care and foreign policy on the show and hearing from people who agree about the need for real, commonsense solutions to these problems."

Perry adds to his growing list of key endorsements

Republicans in Massachusetts continue to unite in their support for Jeff Perry in his bid for US Congress in the 10th Congressional District.

Among those throwing their support to Perry is six-term representative for the 4th Barnstable District, Shirley Gomes. In a statement earlier this week, Representative Gomes said, “Jeff Perry is a strong independent thinker who is unafraid to take a stand and speak out on the issues not only for his own constituents, but for every resident of our Commonwealth.”

Cape Cod resident Tom George, who served the 1st Barnstable District for eight years in the Massachusetts Legislature, and his wife Alice George, head of the Cape Cod Women’s Republican Club are also backing Perry, saying, “Whether it is fighting against government corruption or wasteful spending of taxpayer money, time and time again Jeff Perry has demonstrated his ability to stand strong for his beliefs against a sea of adversity.”

Retired Republican State Senator JoAnne Sprague of Walpole, who now lives in Chatham, has also endorsed Perry affirming, "I have endorsed Jeff Perry to be our next Congressman because I know Jeff has the experience and integrity to do the job we know needs to be done in Washington; he will fight to keep more of our hard earned money in our pockets and less government in our lives. As he has in the Massachusetts House, Jeff will make a difference in the U.S. Congress."

Perry was quite moved by this week's outpouring of support and acknowledged how blessed he is to have so many people backing his efforts to bring common sense back to Congress. "I am overwhelmed by the number of people who have heard and affirmed the message that we want to Wake Up Washington and by their willingness to join the growing movement, which we refer to as Perry's Patriots."
